« Je pense que la section euro est bien mais le point négatif c’est que c’est pendant la pause du midi et du coup j’ai faim. Le point positif, c’est que j’ai l’impression de m’améliorer en anglais.
Au début, je ne m’attendais pas forcément à faire du management et de l’économie, je m’attendais plus à faire de l’anglais renforcé. Mais au final, c’est intéressant d’apprendre de nouvelles choses et du nouveau vocabulaire. Ce que j’aime le moins c’est de prendre la parole pendant les projets de groupe.
Ce qui est bien c’est que les cours sont dynamiques donc ça donne envie d’y aller et d’apprendre de nouvelles choses.
La section euro correspond aux personnes qui aiment l’économie et qui aiment prendre la parole en anglais. »

“Personally, the European Section was an opportunity to improve my English and because I love this language.
In this class, we learn new vocabulary about economics and management… Most of the work we do is oral.
For example, we must prepare a slideshow about one company or we must play the role of student who would like to study in a school in England or in another country in the European Union.
I think this is a good experience because we learn how to speak in front of other people… And if you are a little shy, it isn’t a problem! And you can also take the English Cambridge Certificate…

How could I know if I will like it?

First, I have a positive opinion about the European Section because I feel that I improve my English skills and my accent. Plus, I have a good class and we all get on well. It is also good because we all work on computers or in groups, it is more fun than a classic English lesson.

As far as I’m concerned , I chose the Section Euro to improve my English skills. Of course, we have more hours in the week (2), but to me, it’s very useful. We work on many things which can be very important in daily life: like writing a cover letter, or taking a job interview. Many things are around economics. Indeed, we learn about companies, their turnover, and even more. Moreover, we learn a lot of useful vocabulary, which can then be used in written and oral work.
Now, I speak and write in English better than I did last year, and I’m very proud of myself. :)

I chose the section euro because I wanted to improve my English skills. We just have 2 additional hours. To be accepted, I wrote a motivation letter.
It was not what I expected. We talk about economics and management, it was not my favourite subject. We work with our friends and we can communicate a lot. It is good to feel more self-confident when we speak English.

- First, in this subject, you will learn a lot Business English vocabulary, which will be very useful for the future
- In class, we talk about current issues that affect the European Union (Brexit) and we talk about how a company works .
- In the middle of the year, you have (if you want to) the opportunity to test your skills through the “Cambridge English Certificate” freely

- There is a good atmosphere in class
- This is mostly an oral subject (there are a lot of presentations)
